Following on from its successful debut at the Paris Motor Show in October 2010, the all-new second generation BMW X3 boasting redesigned exterior and interior has now arrived in the Middle East.

BMW says the new X3 enters a new era in driving dynamics and innovative technology. “The new BMW X3 is a versatile vehicle that now shares many of the design characteristics found in our hugely popular X5 model.  With the new sportier design, additional spaciousness and innovative technology that includes the most fuel efficient engines in its class, we expect this new model to build on our successful X model story and contribute to a fruitful year for us in 2011,” says Reiner Braun, director of sales and marketing, BMW Group Middle East.

The new X3 will be offered with two new twin-turbo six-cylinder engines mated to eight-speed automatic transmission. The top-of-the-range model is the xDrive 35i engine with 306bhp enables the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. The claimed average fuel consumption is just 8.8 litres per 100 km and CO₂ emissions of 204g p/km making the X3 class-leading in terms of performance and fuel efficiency. The smaller engine will displace 2.8-litres.
