First Jeep Jamboree held in Oman

 Owning a Jeep and being able to enjoy its all-round capabilities, especially off-road prowess can be a tough job for a novice. 

  But Dhofar Automotive, the official retailers of Jeep products in Oman have changed that notion by holding its first branded event -- Jeep Jamboree Desert Crossing – a three day adventure through the Sharqiya Sands for Jeep owners in the Sultanate. The event began on the edge of the desert near Ibra and ended two and a half days later on the coast at Ras Ruwais – nearly 450km south of Muscat. “We were delighted to be able to host our first ever desert crossing Jeep Jamboree for our customers which attracted a wide range of Jeep owners – from families and newcomers to the Jeep families and more experienced long-term desert drivers. A desert crossing of this nature and camping in the wild is something that can only be undertaken with meticulous planning and also a high degree of commitment and enthusiasm by all of the participants,” said Chris Edwards, GM at Dhofar Automotive.
