All eyes were on Maranello as Scuderia Ferrari launched its 56th single-seater racing car, primed for the Formula One circuits of the 2010 World Championship. The new racing car, which Ferrari has named the F10, will compete in a season with one of the most talked about rule changes seen in Formula One for years, the ban on refuelling during a race. Development for the Ferrari F10 started mid-season 2009 to ensure maximum competitiveness for the coming season. Ferrari is optimistic about the 2010 season, with a new driver line up and two extra races on the calendar. Formula One’s governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), is always looking to increase the spectacle of the sport and 2010 will see some significant changes implemented as the perennial search for greater performance and efficiency continues. |
